European energy ministers still no agreement on gas price

Heated discussion and opinions very divergent were some of the words used to describe the meeting of European energy ministers held this Thursday in Brussels and which ended without an agreement.

At the heart of the conflict is the price cap for gas from 275 euros/MwH proposed by the European Commission.

The maximum price cap is so high that not even last August, when gas prices broke records in Europe, would this mechanism have been activated in the past.

For most member states, this not acceptable
