Chinese Zontes debuts in Brazil with three 310 cc motorcycles; see prices – 03/17/2023

Zontes finally made its official debut in Brazil. The Chinese brand arrives in the country with three motorcycles that share the same one-cylinder 310 cc engine, but with different styles and proposals. The naked R310, the cruiser V310 and the adventurous T310 will be assembled in Manaus (AM) by JTZ Motos, a company of the J.Toledo group, and sold at Suzuki dealerships in the main capitals of the country, starting in April.

With the strategy of offering more equipped motorcycles than competitors, the Chinese Zontes arrives with competitive prices ranging from R$ 26,990 for the R310 to R$ 27,990 for the V310 and T310. Prices do not include shipping, which may vary from state to state.

All have a digital panel with a color TFT screen, which offers four modes of displaying information. The bikes even have a full-LED lighting system. Complete the specifications of the models Keyless starting system (presence key), electric opening of the fuel tank and seat, two riding modes and Bosch ABS brakes on both wheels.

312 cm³ engine

Despite having different styles, the three Zontes motorcycles use the same single-cylinder, with 312 cm³ of capacity, liquid cooling, four valves and double overhead cams (DOHC).

Fueled by electronic injection, the engine produces 35.3 hp of maximum power at 8,600 rpm and 3.06 kgf.m of torque at 7,500 rpm. In the data sheet, at least, the performance is equivalent to that of models with the same engine, such as the BMW G 310R and G 310GS, which use single cylinders of 313 cm³ and 34 hp of power.

The exchange of Zontes motorcycles has six gears, in addition to a sliding and assisted clutch. In all three, the final drive uses the traditional chain.

The models still share the Diamond chassis and 17-inch alloy wheels, front and rear. On the brakes, the trio uses a 300 mm diameter disc, with a two-piston caliper, at the front; and a 230 mm disc with a single-piston caliper at the rear.

Differences and prices of Zontes motorcycles

Although they share several components, the three Zontes motorcycles that arrive in Brazil have visual differences and distinct suspensions, according to the proposal of each one of them. Consequently, prices also vary. Zontes motorcycles have a two-year warranty.

The models chosen to compose the Zontes portfolio in the country are, in fact, the three that had already leaked on social networks. However, the bikes have different specifications from the versions sold in other countries.

Naked R310

With a suggested retail price of R$26,990, the R310 is Zonte’s most affordable model and comes in blue and black. The naked has a sporty look, with angular and jagged lines, and a double exhaust that draws attention.

The suspension set of the R 310 has an inverted telescopic fork, at the front, with 140 mm of travel. At the rear, the monoshock offers 138mm of travel.

Cruiser V310

With a design reminiscent of the Ducati Diavel, due to its oval headlight and minimalist tail, the cruiser V310 has a suggested price of R$ 27,990. With advanced footpegs and curved handlebars, it has a more relaxed riding position typical of the segment.

Despite also having a telescopic front fork, the V310 differs from its sisters by its rear suspension. The bichoque system has two shock absorbers attached to the rear swingarm. The cruiser will be sold in white and black.

Adventurous T310

Contrary to what had been predicted, the version of the T310 that arrives in Brazil will have alloy wheels, with a 17-inch rim, at the front, and not spoked wheels, with a 19-inch rim. , that is, more geared towards the asphalt than the dirt, although it uses mixed-use tires.

With a suggested retail price of R$27,990, the T310 hits stores in orange and black. A differential in relation to its competitors is the more upright riding position, typical of trial motorcycles, and the windshield with electric height adjustment, by means of a button on the left handle.
