What is eSocial?
eSocial is a federal government project, instituted by Decree No. 8,373, of December 11, 2014, this system aims to collect labor information,
social security and tax information, storing them in a National Virtual Environment.
The Digital Bookkeeping System for Tax, Social Security and Labor Obligations has already made life easier for many entrepreneurs, not only that, public bodies and workers have also benefited from the creation of this virtual environment.
From 2014 to 2023 eSocial has helped different groups:
- eSocial helps government agencies that can receive data from workers;

Period of coexistence between versions, what is that?
The period of coexistence between versions aims to provide a better adaptation for eSocial users to the new layouts of the system.
Therefore, during a period stipulated by the bodies that control eSocial, a new published version and the old version of the system can coexist, to help employers to get to know the new layout.
The S-1.0 version of the eSocial layout is the version that must be replaced by today, 03/19/2023, while the updated version is S-1.1, which will definitely replace the old version starting tomorrow.
Anyway, today (19) is the last day that the S-1.0 version will continue to work, as of tomorrow, March 20, 2023, only the S-1.1 version of the eSocial layout will be in operation.
