MBC’s “My Dearest” has reached its highest ratings ever with the series finale!

On November 17, the historical romantic drama achieved its highest ratings yet for its penultimate episode, which continued the show’s reign as the most-watched program of any type to air on Friday.

According to Nielsen Korea, “My Dearest” achieved a nationwide average ratings of 12.4 percent, marking the drama’s highest ratings to date during Part 1 or Part 2.

“My Dearest” was also Friday’s most-watched show among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, earning 3.7 percent ratings.

Meanwhile, the tough competition between “My Dearest” and SBS’s “The Escape of the Seven”—which airs in the same time slot—enjoyed a significant increase in viewership by the end of season 1. The final episode of the Season 1 achieved a national average ratings of 6.6 percent, which is a 1.4 percent jump from its penultimate episode last week.

“The Escape of the Seven” season 2 will air in 2024, while “My Dearest” will air its 100-minute special finale on November 18 at 9:30 p.m. KST.
