Use artificial intelligence to bring stars who left this world back to life, producing images of what Princess Diana, Kurt Cobain, John Lennon, Freddie Mercury and more would have looked like if they were alive today.

And the realistic images were designed by Albert Yeseltas, a photographer based in Turkey, who created images for a project called “As if Nothing Happened”, according to Russia Today.

He used AI photo-enhancing software and editing software to create images.

Yeseltas wrote of the project: “With the development of AI technology, I was excited for a while, believing that anything imaginable could be shown in reality. And when I started tinkering with the technology, I saw what I could do and thought about what would make me happiest. I wanted to see some people once. Another was in front of me, and that’s how this project came into being.”

The artist continued, “The most difficult part of the creative process for me is making the image look ‘real’ to me.” The moments I love the most are when I think the photo in front of me looks so realistic as if it was taken by a photographer.

All of the celebrities who appeared on the project are said to have died young, often in tragic circumstances.

Princess Diana died in Paris at the age of 36 after the Mercedes-Benz in which she was traveling crashed while being chased by paparazzi in the early hours of August 31, 1997.

Rucker Kurt Cobain was found dead on April 5, 1994 at his Seattle home after being shot in the head at the age of 27.

John Lennon was fatally shot in New York City on December 8, 1980 at the age of 40.

Freddie Mercury died of bronchopneumonia due to HIV infection, on November 24, 1991 at his home in London at the age of 45.

Rapper Tupac Shakur died of gunshot wounds at the age of 25 in Las Vegas on September 13, 1996.

Actor Heath Ledger died of a drug overdose on January 22, 2008 at the age of 28.

Michael Jackson, who began changing his appearance in significant ways in the mid-1980s, died of acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication at his Los Angeles home on June 25, 2009, at the age of 50.

Elvis Presley, who was suffering from heart problems and diabetes, died on August 16, 1977 at the age of 42.

“Behind this project lies the question, what would people realistically look like if some great event didn’t happen to them,” Yeseltas explained.
