Raped by an Ethiopian migrant last July, 9-year-old Luna now travels in a wheelchair specially designed for her. During her hospitalization, she had been placed in a coma. Arrived in 2017 in Sweden, the rapist is a Muslim from Ethiopia. His name is Abushi Shamse. At just 15, he was already known for sexual assault cases dating back to 2019 and 2021.

On July 7, while going to a playground near her school, the nine-year-old girl came across this migrant. Before raping her, he will strangle her and punch her. She will be found two hours after her assault.

Ten-year-old Luna loved to dance and sing. Today, she has difficulty moving her legs and arms, and cannot speak or eat on her own. She moves around in a wheelchair.

No one knows exactly how long Luna was on the ground, badly injured, without clothes, with her own shoelace tied around her neck like a noose. She was tied to a tree by the neck with her own shoelaces. When she was found she was lying down, breathing very weakly. Doctors said she was near death. During questioning, the suspect expressed surprise that Luna survived.

Emma, ​​the victim’s aunt, says Luna is often sad, cries, screams and has panic attacks.

Warning signs about this migrant were ignored by school and social services. He arrived from Ethiopia in 2018 and obtained a temporary residence permit with his mother and siblings.

In 2019, there were three reported incidents involving girls at school, in which he grabbed their boobs, buttocks and called one of them a whore. The school contacted the parents but no concerns were reported to social services.

In June 2021, a new alert concerning the boy arises: a woman is assaulted in a pedestrian tunnel in Moröhöjden, not far from where Luna was found. The woman described a “wrestling fight” during which she managed to free herself. The woman managed to identify her attacker but as he was not old enough to commit a crime the inquiry was sent to social services and the school was not informed.
