The accident
This Tuesday morning around 7 a.m., an accident occurred between a train and a bus on a level crossing (n°42) in the town of Cevins. The accident happened at the entrance to a tunnel just after the level crossing. The force of the crash split the bus in two.
According to a latest report from the Savoy prefecture, the accident left one seriously injured, three slightly injured and 47 involved. Those involved were taken to a nearby room.
50 firefighters from the Sdis (Departmental Fire and Rescue Service), two teams from the SMUR, the gendarmes and the SNCF teams were mobilized to the site of the accident.
