The facts occurred in the night from Saturday to Sunday, around 1:15 a.m., on the road to Chêne, between Chêne-Bougerie and the Eaux-Vives district.
According to the cantonal police, a collision took place between a car and a motorbike at Chemin de la Chevillarde. Following the impact, the motorcyclist was thrown to the ground and died. The driver of the car was slightly injured. The Geneva police are looking for any witnesses to the scene who can contact the Road and Accident Squad (+41 22 427 64 50). This is the second death on Geneva roads in 2023.

Traffic accident: death of a motorcyclist following a collision with a motorist
On Sunday March 19, 2023, around 1:15 a.m., the police were informed that a traffic accident had just occurred on Route de Chêne, up Chemin de la Chevillarde. Following the collision with a car, the driver of a motorcycle unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. This is the second death on Geneva roads in 2023.
Sunday March 19, 2023, around 1:15 a.m., a motorcyclist (Russia – 2005) is traveling on the Chêne road towards Thônex. At Chemin de la Chevillarde, for a reason that the investigation will have to determine, a collision occurred between the front of his vehicle and the right rear side of a car which was traveling in the opposite direction and was entering the said path.
Following the collision, the driver of the motorcycle was thrown to the ground, fatally injured. As for the driver of the car (CH – 1952), he is slightly injured and quite shocked.
The investigation is carried out by the Road and Accident Brigade (BRA) under the direction of the Public Ministry (MP).
This is the second death on Geneva roads in 2023.
