Ramon Menezes, coach of the Brazilian Sub 20, has several issues to deal with. One is the match this Saturday against Nigeria, at the Único Diego Maradona stadium in La Plata, for the World Cup in Argentina. But he must also resolve the list of summoned of the major for the friendlies against Guinea (17/6 in Barcelona) and Senegal (20/6 in Lisbon). For this reason, after the match against the Nigerians, he will make a lightning trip to Rio de Janeiro, announce the list, and return to the capital of La Plata to once again lead the youth team.
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) organized a round trip for him, since the Under 20 squad will have a day off after participating in the group stage. The possibility had been developed that the dissemination of those summoned would be virtual, but the plans were changed and the press conference will take place at the headquarters in Rio de Janeiro.
Menezes is the interim DT of the largest in Brazil
Menezes had already been in charge of the largest in Brazil on the previous FIFA date, the 2-1 defeat against Morocco on March 25. For now, the CBF has not defined the final coach and is committed to continuing with Ramón on an interim basis, after the departure of Tite, after the elimination in the quarterfinals of the World Cup in Qatar, against Croatia.
Who will be the future DT
Brazil postponed the appointment of the successor to DT much longer than initially thought. The local press reported that the chosen one is Carlo Ancelotti, who has a contract with Real Madrid until June 2024. The White House did not report whether there will be an early separation, but in Brazil times are short: the Qualifiers start in September.
Ancelotti can be the DT of Brazil.
Everything indicates that Menezes will be the DT of the Sub 23 Pre-Olympic, next year in Venezuela.
