North Carolina, Raleigh – The National Weather Service (NSW) forecasts heavy winds and intense rain for this Memorial Day weekend in North Carolina.
A coastal low pressure system is moving inland over the Carolinas and will produce gusty winds, dangerous surf and rip current conditions along the North Carolina coast, the NWS said.
Rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is expected from Raleigh northwest through west-central Caswell County, and east from Raleigh to the coast. Saturday looks likely to be the worst rainy and windy day this weekend.

NWS Wilmington is forecasting dangerous rip currents, with strong coastal currents and swell heights exceeding 6 feet. In addition, it warns that heavy rains can cause dangerous trips and minor flooding.

Wind with storms with a 100% chance of rain for Saturday, while Sunday anticipates showers with a 66% chance of rain.
The maximum will be located on Saturday at 70 degrees, while on Sunday, the thermometer will register 78°F.

Rain probabilities for Saturday May 27 and Sunday May 28. Highs are forecast for the two days, 61°F and 71°F.
Weather on Memorial Day in Charlotte, North Carolina
The Queen City will also have gray and rainy weather. The forecast indicates for Saturday and Sunday, a 94% and 87% chance of rain, with maximum temperatures of 58°F and 63°F respectively.

Formation of showers during the afternoon on Saturday, May 27 and rain during Sunday, May 28.
