”Taiwan’s metro trains are manufactured in Vall d’Uixó. This is the first production line that Stadler has launched in its new facilities in the Mosque industrial estate, which has been gradually being implemented since this summer.”
This was explained by the Vall d’Uixó City Council in a statement, in which it indicated that the mayor, Tania Baños, and the Councilor for Employment, Jorge García, visited the plant this Tuesday.
There are currently 58 people hired by the Stadler factory and two more will join in the coming weeks, according to the statement.
The Vall d’Uixó City Council continues to collaborate in the preselection of personnel, since Stadler will continue in the coming months with the selection processes to continue increasing production lines. Thus, interested people can go to the Department of Employment (Local Development Agency) to obtain information and register.
The mayor thanked Stadler for “his commitment to our city” and hoped that this relationship “would be maintained over time, because it is an international, capital-intensive company that takes care of the rights of its staff.”
He has reiterated the municipal commitment to “continue working so that companies of this type continue to live in the Vall and so that those that are already here stay and continue growing in our city.”
The Vall d’Uixó City Council assures that it worked together with the Generalitat Valenciana to get the Nordex-Acciona warehouse back into operation, after The staff of the multinational Acciona will mobilize in the province with protests against the closure of the Vall d’Uixó plant in April 2022leaving about a hundred workers unemployed, the majority from said municipality.
This fact “becomes even more important” because Stadler has hired many former Nordex-Acciona workers “because they already had training in a sector similar to the railway,” Baños concluded.
Stadler Valencia is one of the largest industrial technology centers in the Valencian Community and an international benchmark in the manufacturing of trains and railway locomotives..
At its Albuixec plant it generates 2,000 direct and 4,500 indirect jobs and has an order book that exceeds 5,000 million euros.
