Just a few days before the premiere of his documentary Carlos, legendary guitarist Carlos Santana was questioned about his dream collaborations. With almost six decades of experience behind him, Santana wants to stay “relevant”, explore new sounds and work with both industry legends and new-age musicians.

Santana mentioned artists like Taylor Swift and Metallica among his list of artists he would like to work with someday. “Definitely Taylor Swift,” she noted. “Adele, Beyoncé, Metallica, AC/DC, U2, and of course, Eric Clapton.”

And he added: “I would like to get into music for young people. Whether it’s rap, like Jay-Z. You know, I want to stay relevant. “I don’t want to be a ghost in a jukebox.”

Directed by Rudy Valdez, the documentary was presented for the first time a few months ago at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, where Santana gave a presentation after the screening. The feature film promises to tell Santana’s story from her own voice, reviewing the biggest and best moments of both her life and her career.
