German Radio Prize
Roland Kaiser, Tears for Fears and The BossHoss each bring their unmistakable sound to the German Radio Prize. The three radio superstars complete the line-up around newcomer Leony and Sportfreunde Stiller. Laudations also come from well-known personalities such as Karoline Herfurth, Mathias Mester and Victoria Swarovski.
With Roland Kaiser, one of the best-known German radio voices can be heard at the award ceremony in Hamburg: “For me, radio is the medium that will always be up to date, it’s young and never gets old, it’s fast and stimulates people’s imagination.” , according to Kaiser. At the German Radio Prize he will play his song “Bis zum Last Atemzug” from the album “Perspektiven” for the first time. A very personal title that he received as a birthday present from musician Gregor Meyle. “Gregor will bring the song to the stage with me. A real premiere at the Radio Prize.” Roland Kaiser will also present the award for “Best Reportage”.
Tears for Fears play classic and new
The British world stars Tears for Fears have already released a large number of radio hits in their career, including “Sowing The Seeds Of Love”, “Mad World” and of course “Shout” – a song that still has several hundred appearances a week on German radio stations Has.
At the German Radio Prize they play their classic “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” and present the single “The Tipping Point” from their new album of the same name.
The BossHoss promise the best atmosphere
The BossHoss stands for successful country rock from Germany. The band knows about the importance of radio: “For us, radio is a super important medium to reach our fans, but also to be informed regionally and on a daily basis.” The BossHoss can look back on millions of records sold, countless sold-out arena tours and appearances at the most important festivals in Europe. With their new single “Dance The Boogie” they challenge the audience at the German Radio Prize to dance.
