+++ November 26th, 2022: Gut-Behrami wins the World Cup in Killington – a damper for Shiffrin +++

World champion Lara Gut-Behrami has won the first giant slalom of this World Cup winter. The 31-year-old Swiss won on Saturday in Killington, USA, ahead of Marta Bassino (+ 0.07 seconds) from Italy. Olympic champion Sara Hector is third, 0.20 seconds behind. For Gut-Behrami it was the 35th World Cup victory of her career.

After her double success last weekend in Levi, ski superstar and local hero Mikaela Shiffrin only came in 13th this time. The two German starters Jessica Hilzinger and Marlene Schmotz clearly missed the final run of the top 30. A slalom is on the agenda in Killington on Sunday. Lena Dürr is hoping for her first podium finish of the season.
