– Medvedev calls on Americans to stand up for Trump
The former US President is expected to be arrested next Tuesday. That’s why he called on his supporters to protest. He receives support from Russia.

Former US President Donald Trump has called on his supporters to protest over his alleged arrest on Tuesday for a hush money payment to a porn actress. «The leading Republican candidate and former President of the United States of America will be arrested on Tuesday next week. Protest, take back our nation!” Trump wrote on Saturday on the online platform Truth Social, citing a “leak” at the prosecutor’s office.
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has called on the Americans to revolt over Trump’s alleged imminent arrest. “Take back the country, Americans! To fight!” Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel on Saturday. How seriously the 57-year-old meant his demands remained unclear. He concluded his comment with the probably ironic remark that he wrote this at the request of the presidential candidate “Colonel Daniil Fyodorovich Trump”. He was probably alluding to speculation about the relationship between the former US President and the Kremlin.
In his text, Medvedev also addressed the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court against Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin. “The idiots in Europe want to arrest a stranger, and on March 21 in America their own will be arrested,” wrote Medvedev.
Medvedev has attracted attention several times in recent months with extremely sharp and sometimes bizarre attacks on the West. Observers suspect that the politician, who was once considered more of a liberal, wants to give himself the image of a hardliner for a possible successor to Putin.
Trial for hush money to porn star
The US Attorney’s Office is investigating a $130,000 hush money payment that Trump’s private attorney at the time, Michael Cohen, made shortly before the 2016 presidential election Porn actress Stormy Daniels had done. Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, says she had sex with Trump years before the election, which Trump denies.
The payment was apparently intended to prevent Clifford from going public, which could have harmed Trump during the election campaign. The cash flows may have violated campaign finance laws.
Should Trump be indicted, it would be the first time a former US President has been indicted. The 76-year-old Republican had announced a renewed candidature for the presidency last November and wants to retake the White House in the 2024 elections.
