Around 3:10 p.m., a car was plowed into the building as the result of a 2-vehicle crash, said Chief Zack Riddle, of the Oak Lawn Fire Department.
“Two people were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries,” Riddle said in an email to Patch.
Police and fire remain are currently evaluating the building for stability, repairs and future occupancy.
Pictures from the scene show what looks like a hatchback completely inside the store. The vehicle appears to have been seen off Cicero Avenue and into the midsection of the building.
