What about Putin’s future? According to a mafia boss, peace in society also depends on the fate of the Russian president.
Moscow – One topic in particular determines the rumor mill in the Ukraine war: does Vladimir Putin still have a political future in Russia or not? Again and again there is talk of aspiring supporters of the President. “Putin’s cook”, Yevgeny Prigozhin, and “Putin’s bloodhound”, Ramzan Kadyrov, are mentioned several times.
The prominent Kremlin critic Mikhail Khodorovsky recently warned of Prigozhin, who founded the notorious mercenary group “Wagner” in 2014: “He is also preparing for a life after Putin. And he’s building a relationship with Kadyrov,” he recently told the news portal political. Prigozhin is currently still under Putin’s control, but – like Kadyrov – is playing a “double game”.
Putin before fall? Mafia boss warns of “change of power”
The news portal Meduza also reported that the two are gaining more and more supporters in the Kremlin. It may also be the beneficiaries who are also pursuing their own goals. According to them, the rising figures Alexey Dyumin, governor of Tula, and Dmitry Mironov, former head of the Yaroslavl region and assistant to Putin, are said to be silently supporting Kadyrov and Prigozhin.
A prominent mafia boss in Russia is now also warning of the attempted coup. A “change of power” in favor of the mercenary group “Wagner” is very dangerous for society. In a video call that is currently circulating on social networks, Grima Moskowski appealed to the population to be careful who they support. “Now two gangs are forming in Russia. One gang is Wagner’s and the other is Kadyrov’s. Now there is a change of power in Russia,” the news portal quoted Newsweek Moskovsky: “Who is a villain and who will come to power?”

Moskowski goes even further: “Believe me, imagine who the Wagners are. All ex-convicts 20, 15, 18, 19 years old responsible for rape, spreading murder and all kinds of violence. And now they are free and want to eat, they want to make money and feel good. And who will they go to? They will go to you, ordinary Russians,” he continues.
Prigozhin is becoming more and more powerful
From “Putin’s cook” to the “voice of the people”?
Moskowski’s warning is supported by an assessment by the think tank “Institute for the Study of War”. It said at the end of October that “Putin’s cook” posed “a threat to Putin’s rule”. (do with dpa/AFP)
