Former Russian President and current Vice President of the country’s Security Council, Dimitri Medvedevadmitted this Thursday, May 25, 2023, that the war in Ukraine can last for decades.
Medvedev indicated that this conflict could be long and probably last for years: “This is a new reality, new living conditions,” he told reporters during a visit to Vietnam.
He held that “there will be three years of trucetwo years of conflict, and everything will repeat itself.” In addition, he said that “it is necessary to destroy the very nature of Nazi power in Kiev,” according to statements collected by the Russian agency TASS.
On the other hand, regarding the United States presidential election for 2024, when asked about which candidate he likes the most, he considered that “the main thing is don’t choose a guy with dementia“, referring to the current president, Joe Bidenwho will seek re-election in the elections.
As for the Republican candidates, Medvedev noted that “Trump is a good guy, but a coward“. He also remarked that “historically, it was always easier for the Kremlin to work with the Republicans.”
