MEXICO CITY.- Dozens of people belonging to the transsexual community gathered at the Cineteca Nacional over the weekend, in response to the complaint of one of its members who was expelled from the women’s bathroom in the complex.
During the demonstration, which took place in the candy store area, participants took and distributed popcorn, soft drinks, candy and other products without paying for them, leaving evidence in videos and images.
In addition to demanding justice for the discrimination suffered, the protesters also called for the resignation of director Alejandro Pelayo Rangel, arguing that the statement issued by him regarding the incident does not solve the problem they face.
