While high-performance electric cars have achieved impressive acceleration capabilities and superior driving dynamics, they always fall short in sound and design. But hey, that too will be a thing of the past once Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept hits mass productionsince it is an electric car with superior power and a resonance not achieved by any zero emission vehicle.

Because the electrical system known as the Banshee registers 800 volts, this car that redefines muscle cars offers incredible performance, to the point that it is faster than a Hellcat.

An electric car with noisy exhaust?

Considering that the hallmark of high-performance cars is the sound they emit from bulky combustion engines, Dodge managed to create the first exhaust system for an electric vehicle. Upon reaching 126 decibels, this zero-emissions Charger puts out as much noise in the rear as the Hellcat engine makes.

In addition, it allows to change speeds

Another key point of this electric muscle car is that it also makes use of a multi-speed transmission, allowing the possibility of making gear changes as it happens in gasoline cars.

Additionally, the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept has the PowerShot function that, with the push of a button located on the steering wheel, provides an additional power download to achieve greater acceleration capacity when in motion. An ideal system for those overtaking manoeuvres.

What is special about the exterior and interior?

Aesthetically, the Charger Daytona SRT Concept has a body with a retro-futuristic design. It highlights a front spoiler integrated into the functional hood that improves aerodynamic load, the grille with transverse lights and the Fratzog emblem, a badge that appeared associated with Dodge muscle cars from 1962 to 1976 and that, without any meaning; however, it is now the emblem of the electric cars of the Stellantis brand.

As part of its styling, the vehicle avoids excessive decoration and integrates a unique lighting system, flush door handles, 21-inch wheels with a turbine-like design, gray six-piston calipers and carbon fiber air intakes on the sides.

Inside, this muscle car stands out for its sportiness and modernity. It is equipped with a 12.3-inch central screen -it tilts almost ten degrees towards the driver-, an instrument panel with a 16-inch curved display, a Head-up Display, a dashboard and doors with a minimalist design, with decorative stitching, parametric textures and LED lighting and a steering wheel with a look with capacitive touch controls.

Also not seen before in a Dodge are the race-inspired seats with opening backrests, glass roof, carbon fiber tailgate and fully folding rear bench.

Coming soon…

Now we just have to wait for this Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept to go into mass production to become one of the fastest and most powerful electric cars in the world. And when that happens, surely, it will arrive in Mexico.
