The search for the missing Hebe Zwart (10), for whom the police sent an Amber Alert this morning, is still ongoing. Volunteers, a professional search team and the police are looking for the girl who disappeared last night with her supervisor Sanne (26). There is also no trace of Sanne.

The girl and her supervisor had left a daytime activity in Raamsdonksveer. Hebe was supposed to be taken home to Vught, but she never arrived there. Hebe and Sanne drove off in a black Kia Picanto with registration number PR425K. The girl is wearing a purple backpack, bright pink jacket and black skirt.

The police consider all scenarios, including the possibility of an accident. Reporter Edwin van den Berg is near Waspik, east of Raamsdonksveer. “The fastest way to drive from Raamsdonksveer to Vught is via the A59. But in addition, you have many high dike roads with water next to them. All you have to do is do something or you sail off.”

Broken twigs or skid marks

The police cannot yet rule out other scenarios such as a crime. De Telegraaf spoke with a friend of Sanne about what may have happened. “But I know one thing for sure: Sanne would never hurt Hebe. There is no one who loves Hebe as much as Sanne. She didn’t do anything to herself either.”

The friend mentions two scenarios. “The first is that she ran off the road and went somewhere or went into the water. Or they were both taken against their will,” he says.

A spokesperson for Search And Rescue (SAR) Netherlands says that a new search is being set up in the area above the A59. “A lot of tips are coming in from possible locations. Around two o’clock this afternoon we want to expand it with drones, quad riders and walking people.”

Call 112 immediately

The spokesperson also calls on to watch for broken twigs or bushes or skid marks and to report this to the police. It is also taken into account that there will also be a search tonight.

The police said earlier that they searched for them in various ways, including by looking at telephone traffic. “We have quite a detective team on that.”

Sanne’s friend tells De Telegraaf that Sanne’s telephone has failed. He calls that remarkable. “She always has her phone on and ensures that it is always charged. Sanne is very punctual. She never skips a round of medicines for Hebe.”

Police previously said that if people see the girl, they should immediately call 911 and report where they saw her. The police report in the search message that Hebe has “special motor skills”, walks unsteadily with the feet out and has scoliosis, a twist and curvature of the spine.
