Two of the injured in a car-loaded overturning accident at the entrance to the new Akhmim city were killed while trying to rescue them at the reception of Sohag University Hospital.
The names of the injured in the overturning of a pick-up truck, loaded with workers, at the entrance to the new city of Sohag, near the village of Al-Kola, Akhmim district, east of Sohag, where it was found that 3 from Al-Menoufia governorate were injured, they are Ahmed Abdel-Wanis Ali Al-Borai, 20 years old, with suspected internal bleeding in the brain, and Moamen Mohamed Youssef, 20 years old, with abrasions and bruises Sporadic on the body, and Ibrahim Abdel Rahman Ibrahim, 20 years old, with sporadic abrasions and bruises on the body.
And the injury of 3 from Luxor Governorate: Saleh Taha Ibrahim, 24 years old, with suspected fracture of the left foot, Muhammad Metwally Muhammad, 27 years old, with suspected fracture of the right and left leg, and Youssef Ali Muhammad, 20 years old, with suspected fracture of the right hand and right foot.
As a result of the accident, people from Beheira Governorate were injured: Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Sawy, 29 years old, with suspected fracture of the right hand, Hamada Mabrouk Hamida, 18, with suspected fracture of the left hand and left leg, and Masoud Saeed Ismail, 26 years old, with suspected fracture of the left foot and ribs, and two injured from Assiut governorate, Ahmed Mustafa Abdul Salam 45 years old with suspected fracture of the left foot and suspected fracture of the spine Yassin Abdul-Tawab Abdul Hamid 21 years old with suspected post-concussion.
And the injury of 3 from Mansoura, the uncle of Saeed Ismail, 40, with a suspected fracture of the right leg, Ahmed Mahrous Abdel Salam, 27, with a cut wound to the scalp, and Taha Ali Sayed, 35, with suspected internal bleeding in the brain.
Also among the injured is Omar Al-Saeed Al-Adawy, 22 years old, with suspected fracture of the right shoulder, suspected post-concussion, residing in Sohag Governorate, and Hatem Muhammad Bahloul, 26 years old, with suspected post-concussion and suspected internal bleeding in the brain.
And two injured from the State of Sudan are: Abdul Ghaffar Al-Radi Jibril, 29 suspected of post-concussion, and Ahmed Awad Muhalal, 32, suspected of having a fracture of the left foot and right-hand Dr.
The incident dates back to after Major General Mohamed Abdel Moneim Sherbash, Assistant Minister, Director of Sohag Security, had received a report from the Rescue Operations Room stating that a pick-up had overturned on the road at the entrance to the new city of Akhmim, and that there were casualties.
Immediately, Colonel Sherif Tantawy, the commissioner of the Akhmim police station, and Hussein Habarir, head of the local unit of the Akhmim center and city, were moved to the scene of the accident.
Through investigations supervised by Major General Mohamed Zain, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department and led by the officers of the Akhmim Police Station Investigation Unit, it was found that a pick-up truck loaded with iron and workers overturned when it was turning at the entrance to the new city of Akhmim in the village of Al-Kola. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene of the accident. The critical cases were transferred to Sohag University Hospital, and minor injuries were taken to Sohag General Hospital.
Traffic Department forces and road security forces were dispatched to the scene of the accident. A report has been issued regarding the incident, and it is being presented to the Public Prosecution.
