Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, inspected this morning, Saturday, the headquarters of the Sixth of October Technological University, accompanied by a number of leaders of the Engineering Authority, and Dr. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, Media Adviser and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry, and Dr. Hisham Farouk, Assistant Minister for Digital Transformation, and Dr. Anwar Ismail, Executive Director of the Technical Consultation, Studies and Research Fund, and Prof. Ahmed Al-Sheikh, permanent representative of the Ministry.
During the visit, the Minister inspected the university buildings, teaching halls, auditoriums, laboratories and workshops; To determine the extent of its readiness to receive students during the new academic year 2022/2023; To play its desired role in developing and refining students’ skills and helping them develop their abilities to compete in the local, regional and international labor market and meet the needs of future jobs.
He praised Dr. Ashour stressed the efforts exerted to complete all executive work at the university, in preparation for the start of the new academic year, with the need to adhere to all previously agreed upon quality standards.

Adel Abdel Ghaffar, media advisor and official spokesperson for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, said that the Sixth of October Technological University is located on an area of 1,000 acres, and includes (the Education Development Fund building, the university administration building, 2 buildings for classrooms, workshops and laboratories), and at a total cost of 724.5 million pounds. Noting that all the university’s executive work is underway.
The spokesperson added that all the components of the information infrastructure have been provided, to be compatible with their study programs, and equipped with the latest equipment necessary for laboratories and research centers, which are commensurate with the functional and educational needs of the new programs that will be offered at the university, pointing to the important role of technological universities in Egypt in providing Well-trained technical cadres to join the labor market, as well as the international partnerships that these universities hold with technological universities with high experience in this field, as well as practical training in factories and companies in the surrounding community, with the aim of qualifying graduates of these universities to be able to meet the needs of the contemporary labor market locally. , regionally, and internationally.
The official spokesperson explained that the Sixth of October Technological University will offer new study programs that serve the industry in the surrounding geographical area, including (technology for operation and maintenance of spinning and weaving machines – railway technology – tractor technology and agricultural equipment – food industry technology – health disciplines).
