Today, the global search engine, Google, celebrated its 115th birthday Hamed Gohar The Egyptian pioneer of marine sciences, King of the Red Sea, and he is the brother of actor Ali Gohar, who died in 1992.

Who is Hamid Gohar?

Hamid Abdel Fattah Gohar was born in Cairo on November 15, 1907. He received his primary education at the Islamic Charity Association School, and his secondary education at the Royal Secondary School (later Khedive Ismail), from which he obtained a baccalaureate degree in 1925 (the year the Egyptian University was established).

Jawhar first enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine, and despite his success in the preparatory year, he preferred to transfer to the Faculty of Science. Among them, he obtained a Bachelor of Science with first class honors, and was appointed as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Animal Sciences in the college.

In the year 1931 – two years after his graduation – he submitted his first thesis to which he applied for a master’s degree.
