starts today the Never Ending Summeran event organized by Marina de Albufeira that promises to bring animation to this space until Sunday.
Concerts, cataplana festival, handicraft and wine shows, art fair, sailing regattas, hikes, races and conferences, the program is vast. Never Ending Summer which intends to put the Albufeira Marina in the spotlight, between today and Sunday, September 18th.
João Amaral, administrator of the Albufeira Marina, underlines the importance of this event to bring the Marina closer to the city, «something that has been reinforced over the years»
José Carlos Rolo, president of the Albufeira City Council, a partner entity, supports the concept and praises the diversity of events in the Never Ending Summerreinforcing that they meet the objectives of the municipality in terms of boosting economic activity and promoting the destination.
The program features two concerts per night, with an emphasis on performances by David Carreira, Átoa and Quinta do Bill, who celebrate their 35th anniversary.
In terms of gastronomy, the Festa da Cataplana will be present, with restaurants invited to present their variation of this very traditional dish.
The public will vote and at the end there will be prizes for the best cataplana.
In parallel to the Handicraft Exhibition, several stands will be occupied by wine producers who will provide sales of exclusive products and tastings.
The Art Fair concentrates works by around a dozen artists in a covered space.
Sport is present with the Cidade de Albufeira Regatta that will take place on the 17th and 18th, as well as the March/Race that will take place on Sunday morning at 9:30 am.
The classic car show is also an integral part of the Never Ending Summerwith an exhibition throughout the event and a parade through Albufeira also on the morning of the last day of the festival.
Conferences are another good reason to visit the Never Ending Summer.
The NES Talks start today with Hélder Nunes, president of the Association of Hotels and Tourist Enterprises of the Algarve (AHETA), who will analyze the tourist year 2022 and launch the perspectives for 2023.
There are many reasons to visit Albufeira Marina between the 16th and 18th of September. O Never Ending Summer it opens at 5 pm on the 16th. On the 17th and 18th, there are activities during the morning and the enclosure will open at 12 pm.
