Muhammad Aboul Gheit was not satisfied with journalistic writing, but rather entered the field of television production for Arab and foreign channels, and also worked in the field of radio as a broadcaster. He used to do all this while he was suffering from cancer, so he was always fighting against him.
He received the Heikal Award for his investigative investigations on the issues of Syria and Yemen in September 2021, and he sent a recorded video during the ceremony, saying in it: Today I was honored to be chosen as the winner of the Heikal Foundation Prize for Arab Journalism, first because it is an Egyptian award, and secondly because of its association with Professor Heikal, may God have mercy on him, and thirdly for a personal reason, which is It comes at that moment when I am going through a health crisis, and moral support is no less important than treatment and medication.
