The Centers for Disease Control in the United States has called for stopping the use of “EsriCare” eyedrops, after they caused 50 super-resistant infections and one death in 11 US states.

Most of the infected people said that they used moisturizing drops, and “Esri Care” was the most common, knowing that it is free of preservatives and does not contain any ingredients that prevent bacterial infections.

As a result, the CDC recommended that physicians and patients immediately stop using EsriCare eye drops until the epidemiological investigation and laboratory analyzes are completed.
