This competition honors “the mayors and elected officials who locally carry out ambitious and innovative projects in order to improve the lives of their fellow citizens”. It is broken down into several categories: social and responsible city, economic development, energy and environment, sport and culture, and digital and services.

Introducing seniors to digital

And it is precisely in this area of ​​​​digital that Gannat won its prize, as revealed by RMC on Wednesday. The municipality was rewarded for its project initiated in 2019 aimed at bringing seniors closer to digital practice, both for administrative procedures and for more playful uses.

“These vehicles go in the direction of history”: Issoire and Brassac (Puy-de-Dôme) invest in electric mopeds

In total, the project benefits nearly 500 users, with around fifty workshops throughout the year coordinated in particular by home helpers and young people from the town.

A prize received “with pride” by the mayor of the town Véronique Pouzadoux.
