Two bodies found in the sea!

Two bodies were discovered at the crash site of McFit founder Rainer Schaller’s plane.

As the authorities of the Costa Rican online newspaper “CRHoy” confirmed, a child was found dead at 9:30 a.m. local time (5:30 p.m. German time) floating in the sea. A short time later, a man’s body was also found. Parts of a fuselage and a bag were also spotted.

The identities of the child and the man are still unclear. The deputy minister for public safety, Martín Arias, stated that the debris “apparently” came from the plane in which the Germans were traveling.

“The plane disappeared from radar about 25 miles (approx. 40 km) before Limón airport. The plane was supposed to land at 6:58 p.m., we lost it at an altitude of 2,000 feet,” Fernando Naranjo, director of the civil aviation authority, told Teletica.

The Piaggio P.180 Avanti business jet went missing on Friday evening (local time) on the flight from Mexico to Costa Rica.

The Ministry of Security announced that communication was lost when the machine approached Limón Airport over the sea. After the search was canceled due to bad weather conditions during the night, the emergency services resumed it on Saturday.

On board the 13-year-old machine, as a spokeswoman for the “McFit” operator RSG-Group GmbH confirmed: Schaller, his girlfriend Christiane Schikorsky and their children Aaron and Finja. According to BILD am SONNTAG information, a man named Marcus Kurreck is said to have also flown. In addition, the pilot, according to the Ministry of Security, a Swiss.

It must now be clarified how the accident happened. Was there a technical defect or did the pilot have to deal with severe storms? What is clear is that the machine did not report SOS, nor was there an emergency signal that would be sent automatically in the event of an impact.
