Sputnik Brazil – The Austrian Interior Ministry cannot confirm reports about the alleged murder of Ukrainian citizen Natalia Vovk, suspected of the murder of Daria Dugina, the agency told Sputnik on Sunday (28).

“After consulting our colleagues at the State Security and Intelligence Directorate (DNS), we can say that none of these cases are known in Austria. That is why we cannot confirm the validity of this information,” the ministry said.

Earlier in the day, Austrian newspaper Exxpress Osterreich reported that there were strong reports that Vovk was found dead in an apartment, citing a message circulating on the Telegram app.

“At night she was found dead in a rented apartment. With 17 stab wounds to her body and a piece of paper in her hand,” reads a message circulating on the platform, according to the media.

In addition, according to Exxpress Osterreich, alleged photos would also indicate that the woman was Natalia Vovk. As for his daughter, the newspaper wrote that there is still no information about her whereabouts.

Last Monday (22), Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB, its acronym in Russian) concluded that Ukraine’s secret services were behind the murder of journalist and political scientist Daria Dugina, daughter of the political philosopher and analyst. Russian Aleksandr Dugin.

On the night of August 20, Dugina’s car exploded on the Mozhaiskoe highway in Moscow. The Russian Investigation Committee discovered that an explosive device had been installed under the underside of the car, on the driver’s side.

“It has been established that the crime was prepared and committed by the Ukrainian secret services. The author is a citizen of Ukraine Natalia Pavlovna Vovkborn in 1979,” the FSB statement said.

According to the entity, Vovk used a Mini Cooper car to spy on the Russian journalist.

On the day of the murder, the Ukrainian citizen attended the Traditsia festival with her daughter, in which Dugina also participated as a guest of honor.

After the remotely controlled explosion from Dugina’s car, Vovk and his daughter left for Estonia via the Pskov region, according to the FSB.
