The Diwan said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), that Her Highness Princess Abeer bint Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Jalawi Al Saud, passed away today, Thursday.
Al-Duwayan’s statement indicated that he will pray for Princess Abeer, tomorrow, Friday.
The funeral date and place was set “after the afternoon prayer at the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in the city of Riyadh.”
Daughter of the sixth king of Saudi Arabia
According to the information available about the deceased princess, Abeer bint Abdullah, she is the daughter of the sixth king of the kingdom, Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud.
Prince Abeer married Prince Fahd bin Turki Al-Thani bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and had two children from him (Prince Abdul Aziz, Princess Noura, Princess Al-Jawhara, and Princess Sarah).
The late Saudi princess was the honorary president of the Arab Organization for Traffic Safety, the first woman to hold this position.
The age of Princess Abeer Al Saud and the cause of death
She was also appointed as an ambassador for social responsibility at the “Regional Network for Social Responsibility” in 2018.
She received an honorary doctorate in educational sciences in 2018 from “Jerash Private University” in Jordan.
While the Saudi royal court did not reveal the cause of Princess Abeer’s death, activists spoke of a health crisis that struck her a few days ago, as she was transferred to the hospital and became seriously ill, to announce the news of her death today.
Activists said that Princess Abeer was born in the fifties of the last century, without specifically mentioning the year, pointing to the place of her birth in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
