The alert was given at 12:41 p.m. A woman on board a boat had just witnessed the drowning of a 38-year-old man. According to our information, the man who had rented a boat in Saint-Jorioz had just descended the ladder of the boat before sinking steeply into the lake.
Important means were immediately triggered by the Fire Brigade, from the centers of Doussard, Talloires, Annecy, and Saint-Jorioz. Several firefighters’ boats, supported by divers and a canine team made up the bulk of the system. The sonar from the Épagny center had also been sent to the site.
