Changes to the Eurojackpot 2022
Some changes were introduced for the tenth anniversary of the Euro Lottery. This includes:
- one second drawing on Tuesday
- Jackpot rolling from one draw to the next
- the maximum prize amount in the first prize category increases 120 million euros (previously 90 million euros)
- increased payout in the winning classes
- adapted game formula: there will be two out of a total twelve euro numbers chosen (previously ten euro numbers)
The new rules have been in effect since March 25, 2022. The first Tuesday draw of the Eurojackpot took place on March 29, 2022.

Time: When are the Eurojackpot lottery numbers drawn?
The lottery winning numbers are drawn every week on Friday and Tuesday in Helsinki at around 8 p.m. German time. In Germany, the results are usually announced online between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. As soon as the draw takes place in Helsinki, we will inform you about all the winning numbers in this post.
Can you follow the Eurojackpot draw live?
The draw can only be followed live on Finnish television. There is no direct transmission to other participating countries. Further information and the video of the last draw can be found on the Eurojackpot website and on YouTube.
Until when can you play Eurojackpot?
The official acceptance deadline for the Eurojackpot in Germany is Friday and Tuesday at 7 p.m. However, there are different times in most federal states. The federal states in which an earlier acceptance deadline applies are listed below:

How does the Eurojackpot work?
The Eurojackpot is a Europe-wide lottery in which 17 other countries in Europe with a total of 300 million players participate in addition to Germany. The special number lottery has existed since 2012. In Germany, the stake per betting field costs 2 euros. You can bet at lottery acceptance points as well as online, for example on the Eurojackpot website. In order to be able to play online, you have to register in advance.
You bet on 5 out of a total of 50 numbers and 2 out of 12 additional numbers, the so-called “Euro numbers”. There are twelve prize categories to which the prize money is distributed. To win in the lowest tier, two correct numbers and one correct euro number are required. Accordingly, to win in the highest class, all seven numbers must be typed correctly. Here 10 million euros are guaranteed as a minimum profit.
What is the chance of winning the Eurojackpot?
The probability of hitting the jackpot in the first prize category is 1 in 140 million after the rule change in March 2022. It is common for syndicates to form to increase the chance of winning. If the maximum sum of 120 million euros is reached in the first prize category, all further gaming revenue flows into the second prize category. The chance of winning here is around 1 in 7 million.
