Tonight it’s finally that time again: The first full week of the month begins and Google will release a major update package for the Pixel smartphones. This month not only with the usual security update, but also with a long-awaited one Pixel feature drop, which should once again have a number of new functions in its luggage. But a new operating system release is also pending.

What updates can be expected?
The March update will definitely do that Android security update as well as a separate pixel update for all pixel smartphones that are still supported. This consists of numerous bug fixes or targeted optimizations every month and this time it will be replaced by a Pixel feature drop accompanied. This brings new functions for all Pixel generations that are still supported and several exclusive apps.

There are hardly any details, but the recent extensive Android Feature Drop has raised the bar so that we can expect a big wave. It is expected that Google will release the final version of Android Android 13 QPR2, which is called “Feature Drop Release” after all. When is the update coming?

Therefore, the update will be released today and, as usual, rolled out for the Pixel smartphones that are still supported.

Which Pixel phones will get the update?
The security update will be rolled out for many fourth to seventh generation Pixel smartphones – Pixel 4a to Pixel 7. The last Pixel 4 update was completed in October 2022, but a “best of” update is still pending . Although one was rolled out at the beginning of February, it did not bring any improvements.
