T-Mobile District Cancels Today’s Anniversary Activities Over Security Guard Murder | Police

According to the investigation of the authorities, several security guards from the T-Mobile District intervened at about 10:30 last night with Cruz Jiménez, who had allegedly pushed a woman and two men who shared in the place .

Cruz Jiménez walked to the parking lot and pulled out a dagger from his Toyota Tacoma bus.

He stealthily approached Rosa Velázquez, a 33-year-old resident of Canovanas, and stabbed her in the left side of her neck. Other security guards went to the aid of his partner and others followed the alleged aggressor. When the individual tried to leave the place, the guards shot the tires of the Toyota Tacoma bus and managed to stop him. State and municipal agents arrived at the scene and took custody of the detainee.

Rosa Velázquez was taken to a hospital in Santurce, from where he was referred to the Río Piedras Medical Center, where he died.
