Kelmon is or isn’t he a priest?

The figure that has been shown to be allied to the Jair Bolsonaro (PL), has the title of priest contested by the Catholic Church.

In their social networks, religion denied that Kelmon is a priest of the Orthodox Church in Brazil.

The entity also informs that Kelmon was never a seminarian or member of the clergy in any of the three degrees of the order – bishop, presbyter or deacon.

Kelmon, in his defense, claimed that he belongs to the Orthodox Apostolic Catholic Church of Peru. The entity claims to be recognized by the Peruvian government and calls the candidate an “illustrious member” of the missions.

The Church also claims that Kelmon has recognition by the Holy Orthodox Church as an “interim parish priest based in the Episcopal Vicariate of Brazil”.

The postulant is responsible for the Malankar Orthodox Parish Mission of São Lázaro in Ilha da Maré, Bahia.

The note further alleges that Kelmon has been away from the Church since Aug.with the justification of conflict of interest, with an ecclesiastical license.
