Another Palmeiras player fell for the financial pyramid scam; Listen to audios

In the last week, the millionaire goal suffered by Mayke, right-back of Palmeiras, and Gustavo Scarpa, former Verdão and current Nottingham Forest player, came to light. In addition to the players, the case involves Willian Bigode, a former player for Alviverde and now for Fluminense, who advised Scarpa and Mayke on investments through his company.

In May of last year, Mayke and Scarpa invested in cryptocurrencies in a company indicated by the brokerage WLJC, where striker Willian Bigode is one of the owners. Companies promised returns of 3.5% to 5% per month on investments, but that was not what happened, as athletes were unable to redeem the money invested. Mayke and Scarpa lost more than R$11 million with the investment.

Last Sunday (12), the program Fantasticfrom Rede Globo, released audios between Gustavo Scarpa and Willian Bigode about the case.

“I’m sad, man, really. I am sad because it is my heritage”, says Scarpa in conversation with Bigode, as revealed in the program.

“Scarpinha, now you don’t even have a question of trust, brother. Question that is now to pray. Do what I know. Now it’s waiting on the Lordreplies Bigode.

“Mustade, my lawyer is advising me to make a BO, bro. Criminal. Even the police. Out of the respect, friendship, consideration and love I have for you, I wanted to touch you first. Unfortunately, I have to talk about your company. It’s almost all my assets. I can’t take that risk of losing.”says Scarpa.

Willian Bigode revealed that he was also injured. In a statement to the police, Bigode said he lost R$17.5 million, while his partner, Camila Moreira Fava, lost R$1.6 million.

“I always saw the stupid people who fell into pyramids, those swindlers. And to see myself in such a situation, for me, is being horrible. It’s almost all my assets. I can’t take that risk of losing.”said Scarpa.

“Never had a problem, nothing. And you build that trust. Half of my equity. You’re crazy, I’m desperate here. But rest assured that you will, within your rights, obviously, get your money back. Calm down, okay, Scarpinha?”said Bigode, in another message.

Fantástico also revealed conversations between the midfielder and Gabriel Nascimento and Jean Ribeiro, owners of Xland.

“Rest in peace, I want to pay you. I don’t want to keep receiving messages from you directly, no. I can’t take any more messages from you.”wrote Gabriel Nascimento to Scarpa, via text message.

“Can’t take it anymore? You steal from me, and you can’t take it anymore? You stole my familycountered Scarpa.

“Where is the insurance on the precious stones? Where’s all that? Everything would suck. I got involved with fraudsters. I never imagined going through this in my life.”says Scarpa to Jean Ribeiro.

The report also revealed that Scarpa dealt with all the problems related to the coup in the final phase of the Brasileirão, living his farewell to Palmeiras

. On November 2, when the club became champion of the Brazilian Championship, Xland deposited R$ 1,200 in Scarpa’s account.

“When R$1,200 arrived in my account, I said: ‘They’re messing with my face. It’s not possible’. Me having the championship final today, completely unfocused. Why don’t you transfer me now, this very moment?”Scarpa asked Gabriel Nascimento.

“I will make you. I will make you the transfer”replied the owner of Xland, who did not return the money.

“I, Brazilian champion, almost crying inside. Celebrating, and an emptiness, saying: ‘Man, where did I get myself?’ What a hell of a regret”said Scarpa, in another audio.

According to the conversations that the Fantastic had access, there are indications that the goalkeeper Weverton also lost money with the coup. He was contacted, but declined to comment on the matter.
