1 – Where and how did the hit-and-run and murder happen in São Carlos?
- The hit-and-run accident happened on George Ptak Street, in Jardim São Paulo, close to a municipality unit.
- On camera footage, Silva appeared on a motorcycle down the street when Magalhães hit him with the backhoe. The victim collided with a car and then was run over. The employee drove the vehicle over his colleague, who was unable to get out.
- The victim lay motionless on the ground and the man was still used the backhoe scoop to smash it multiple times. Then the man got out of the vehicle to see if his colleague was still alive. Then he fled the scene with the backhoe, which was found in the Azulville neighborhood.
2 – Who was the victim?
- Iebel Garcia Silva was 41 years old and worked at Saae as a driver in the network maintenance sector since 2009.
- Iebel was born in São João Batista do Glória (MG). He will be buried on Thursday (23).
3 – Who is the author?
- Milton César Magalhãesaged 44, has been an operator of heavy machinery in the network maintenance sector since 2009. He was identified by the local authority as the author of the murder.
- After the crime, he would have fled in a pickup truck It is has not yet been located by the police.
4 – What was the motive for the crime?
A motive for the crime is still unknown and is investigated by the Civil Police. Author and victim have already had disagreements at work, but the reasons have not been clarified either.
How was the fight that colleagues had in 2014?
- The Saae informed that, in 2014, it was registered a fight between the two employees in the autarchy’s external parking lot. An internal inquiry was opened and the two were punished with 30 days of suspension. The reason for the fight was not disclosed by the municipality.
- Officials told EPTV, an affiliate of TV Globo, that the two had many disagreements and that the atmosphere between them in the service was very heavy. He they would have already fought using penknives.
5 – What did Saae say about the crime?
- Saae regretted what happened, said he is providing assistance to the victim’s relatives and collaborating with the police. Unlike what was said in the previous note, SAAE São Carlos clarifies that the death of an employee by another did not occur inside the unit of the autarchy, but in the vicinity, on Rua George Ptak, in Jardim São Paulo. Updated information shows that the perpetrator of the crime waited for the arrival of the victim who was on a motorcycle and threw the backhoe on top of him. He lost control, hit a car, fell and that’s when the accused drove the excavator over the body and fled.
The dead employee is Iebel Garcia Silva, 41 years old, SAAE driver since 2009. The employee killed is Milton César Magalhães, 44 years old, SAAE heavy machine operator since 2009. He’s on the run.
The SAAE also clarifies that in 2014 a fight was recorded between the two in the external parking lot of the municipality. At the time, an internal inquiry was opened and the two were punished with 30 days of suspension.
The backhoe was found early this morning by the Municipal Guard near the Educational School.
