To warm up the countdown to the start of the World Cup in 2022, Panini launched last Friday, 19, on newsstands, the official album of the Qatari competition.

In all, there are 32 selections stamped on the pages, all represented by 18 players, a photo with the team and a shiny chrome of the shield of each one of them.

Trophy, logo, mascot, stadiums and the official World Cup ball also earned a prominent place within the 2022 album.

In addition, in partnership with the FIFA Museum, the edition has a timeline with the winners and a part dedicated to the records in the history of the World Cup.

CEO of Panini in Latin America, Ivan Faria said, at the album launch event, that sales expectations are high, especially with the possibility of generating union after times of isolation experienced at the beginning of the pandemic.

In Faria’s view, 2022 will be the “Cup of the hug”, so that people can make more friends while interacting: “The album is a social event, which unites people with the exchange of stickers”, said the CEO.

Panini news for the World Cup 2022 album

Moving away from the traditional, the 2022 edition of the World Cup album will have 80 extra stickers: “It’s an unprecedented situation, there are 20 players with four different formats: a basic, bronze, silver and gold. These stickers will be placed in the envelope as a sixth sticker (each envelope comes with five stickers and costs R$4.00)”, revealed Vilson Manfrinati, sports consultant at Panini during the opening of the album.

“These figurines are rare and are not part of the collection. A figurine that will complement our game of collecting”, added Manfrinati, emphasizing that the stickers are not part of the album, they are an extension of the collection.

The news announced by Panini at the launch event does not stop there. Sponsor of the album, Coca-Cola has a double page with space for eight stickers that will not be found on packages, but on branded products.

Like the 80 extra stickers, the stickers that fit on the advertiser page are not part of the World Cup album collection.

Nubank, a company in the financial services segment, will also be present with a QR code that leads to experiences that will be presented throughout the World Cup.
