Al Hilal is preparing to meet the Egyptian , next Friday, in the Lusail Super Cup match, at Lusail Stadium, which will host the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar.

Who is Abdul Rahman Al Jassim?

International referee Abdul Rahman Al Jassim, 34, is a Qatari referee who received the international badge in 2013, and managed a number of major matches during his refereeing career.

Al-Jassem managed the match between and Flamengo of Brazil in the final of the Club World Cup 2020, which witnessed the first participation of Al Hilal in the Club World Cup, where the leader won fourth place, equaling the historic achievement of Saudi clubs in the history of the World Cup, after Al-Ittihad in 2005.

Al-Jassem led the match between Iran’s Persepolis and Korea’s Ulsan in the 2020 AFC Champions League final, the 2018 AFC Cup final between Iraq’s Air Force and Turkmen’s Altin Asir, and the match between Solomon Islands and New Zealand, in the Oceania qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup.

Abdul Rahman Al Jassim began his refereeing career in 2007 and has been awarded the international badge since 2013.

Al-Jassem managed 190 matches during his career, during which he received 669 yellow cards, 18 second yellow cards, 12 direct expulsions, and awarded 85 penalties.

Al-Jassem’s career with the Saudi teams

The referee, Abdul Rahman Al-Jassem, managed a match in the Saudi Professional League, between Al-Nasr and Damak in the first round of the 2021-2022 season, in a meeting that ended with Al-Nasr winning by four against a goal.

With the Al-Jassem whistle, the Saudi national team played a match against Palestine in June 2015, in the Asian qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup, and the meeting ended with Saudi Arabia winning (3-2).
