A 15-year-old boy recounts his hell in prostitution

A 15-year-old teenager who was pushed into prostitution by an alleged pimp told Thursday the hell he would have lived, but also the manipulation suffered to make him believe that it was simply “work”.

“When I brought back money, she was super happy, she told me that she was proud of me, that I was doing a good job. But it’s not a job, it’s sexual abuse, humiliation, she used me, ”emotionally testified the alleged victim of Daphne Leblanc-Guibault, Thursday at the Montreal courthouse.

The teenager, whose identity is protected by the court, says he fell into the clutches of the pimp for six months, from 2018 to 2019, shortly after arriving from the region in Montreal at the age of 15.

And when he lost his job, Leblanc-Guilbault, who impressed him with the money she showed, would then have convinced him to become an escort.

“I was very innocent in real life,” he said, adding that from his understanding being an escort meant spending time with clients without necessarily offering sexual services.

According to their agreement, Leblanc-Guibault took 50% of the income in “protection” costs, but according to the teenager, very often, the 26-year-old accused did not monitor anything.

Once, a client allegedly strangled the youngster and later the alleged pimp told him not to worry and “it happens”.

“She taught me how to make money, how to make announcements, how to manipulate customers to get more money… Her will was to control a 15-year-old child,” he blurted out for a moment. the young, visibly overwhelmed with emotion.

And if he got caught, it’s because Leblanc-Guilbault was a good manipulator, he believes. Because over time, she would have succeeded in making him believe that she was his best friend, and that she was the only one to understand him.

“I was so anchored in it, she wanted my brain to say that it will do me good to always come back to her, testified the young person. At first she was nice, at the end not so much. I have had deeply traumatic experiences. »

Because to be able to take advantage of the “kindness” of Leblanc-Guibault, the young man had to bring back always more money.

“It was like a vicious circle,” he said, adding that in six months he was prostituting himself all over Ontario being conditioned to believe it was “normal.”

His testimony, before Judge Suzanne Costom, continues on Friday. Leblanc-Guibault, who is accused of pimping, is currently being held on remand.
