The European Basketball Championship started a year late. You can find out when and where you can watch the games with German participation here.
The time has finally come: The European Basketball Championship had to be postponed due to the corona virus, but it can now be held from September 1st to 18th, 2022 as planned. The DBB team has already clinched three victories, even if the last game against Lithuania was a nerve-racking fight that could only be decided after two (!) overtimes and even resulted in a complaint to FIBA.
Fortunately, the team of national coach Gordon Herbert got a short breather after this effort. But today it’s against Slovenia – with none other than NBA star Luka Dončić. Thanks to their performance so far, the men from the DBB are already qualified for the next round and hopefully can play reasonably relaxed today.

Basketball EM: Live on TV?
Despite the European Championships in their own country, ARD and ZDF are reluctant to broadcast any European Championship basketball games on German television. Since the DBB men have so far shown themselves to be offensive and have strong nerves and have already mastered the group phase, it is to be hoped that the public broadcasters may reconsider their program planning.
