Matheus has been involved in football since birth. The gaucho indicated since he was little that he would work with soccer and follows the dream in practice. With a degree in Exercise Science, he started his career as an assistant at Caxias.

Bachi was called to join the Corinthians technical commission by Tite in 2015. Since then, the two have worked together – the coach also took him to the Brazilian national team from the first moment he took over at Canarinho.

At Canarinho, Matheus is the assistant who is more focused on taking care of set pieces. He indicates the positioning of players in offensive and defensive moves and also discusses rehearsed plays with Tite in those moves.

In the past, there was even a controversy involving possible “nepotism”, saying that Matheus would be in the national team just because he was Tite’s son, something that the coach is keen to deny.

– It’s inevitable. Me and him have a very peaceful situation. He will carry with him the weight of the father he has and I will carry the weight of the son. Is it impossible for a doctor to have a good doctor son? And the musician having a son who is a good musician? Matheus is good for c…, he’s not a little good, no, he’s very good – said the coach in an interview with “Placar”.

CONTROVERSY ON THE NETWORKS

Last year, Matheus Bachi got involved in “problems” on the internet. The assistant liked a post by former player Maurício Souza, who criticized a comic book in which Superman was bisexual.

After the repercussions, the CBF came to the fore and stated in a note that “it reinforces its commitment to football free of any prejudice or discrimination. all colors, origins, beliefs, genders or physical conditions, using its competitions and activities of the Brazilian National Team as a platform for dissemination”.

FUTURE

Just like Tite, Matheus will leave the Brazilian national team at the end of the World Cup. He has a desire to become a coach and take over a team. At the moment, the auxiliary is focused on the World Cup and has no negotiations with any other club.
